Our Nuclear business has an exciting opportunity for a management accountant to support the sector by preparing monthly management accounts, assisting with project reviews, and providing financial analysis and advice.
Your Purpose:
1. Prepare Monthly Management Accounts, Annual Budgets, and Quarterly forecasts.
2. Conduct forecasting with commentaries and related reporting.
3. Coordinate and support internal and external audits.
4. Provide financial support and advice for bidding processes.
5. Ensure compliance with group procedures, government contracts, and statutory accounts.
6. Enable better decision-making through reliable data.
7. Monitor and communicate reasons for variances in accounts and project performance.
8. Liaise with project managers, project accountants, and the market team.
9. Undertake monthly project reviews with the project management community.
10. Support the Nuclear FD with ad-hoc initiatives and analysis.
What you can bring:
1. Part-qualified or newly qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent).
2. Experience in business partnering.
3. Creative problem-solving skills.
4. Team player attitude.
5. Strong interpersonal skills for internal relationship building.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and exposure to Power BI.
7. Experience with Oracle ERP and Oracle EPM.
8. Good commercial understanding and technical accounting skills.
9. Knowledge of tax and compliance matters.
10. Strong communication skills across all levels of management.
11. Willingness to travel.
