A Salford Primary School are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team and provide one-to-one support for a Year 3 pupil with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Key Responsibilities:
* Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored strategies and interventions.
* Provide consistent emotional and behavioural support to help the pupil engage positively in learning.
* Adapt activities and resources to meet individual needs.
* Foster a safe, nurturing environment that promotes resilience and confidence.
* Liaise with parents, carers, and external professionals as required.
Requirements:
* Experience supporting children with SEMH needs (school-based experience preferred).
* Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies.
* Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
* Ability to build positive relationships and maintain clear boundaries.
* Relevant qualifications (Level 2/3 TA or equivalent) desirable.
