Job Title: Quantity Surveyor
Location: Warrington – Hybrid Working
Salary: £60,000 per annum
The Company
A global professional services organisation is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their project team in Warrington, supporting the delivery of a major nuclear infrastructure programme. This role offers the opportunity to work on one of the UK’s most critical and regulated projects, within a company recognised for its technical expertise and global reach. A hybrid working arrangement is available, combining on-site, office, and remote work.
The Role
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in managing the commercial and contractual aspects of project delivery. Working closely with project controls, engineering, and client teams, you will ensure financial governance, value for money and commercial risk mitigation across the project lifecycle. Key responsibilities include:
* Preparing and managing cost estimates, budgets and forecasts
* Assessing and valuing contractor variations and claims
* Supporting the preparation and agreement of interim and final accounts
* Monitoring project spend and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations
* Providing commercial advice and reports to the project team and stakeholders
* Assisting in procurement, contract administration and tender evaluation
The Person
To be successful in this role, you should have:
* Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor on complex infrastructure or engineering projects
* Strong understanding of NEC contracts (especially ECC)
* Experience within the nuclear or similarly regulated sector is highly desirable
* Excellent numerical, negotiation and communication skills
* Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management (HND/Degree level or equivalent)
