Are you an experienced in supporting cutting-edge developments in agricultural robotics research? The University of Lincoln seeks a Junior Software Engineer to support our software development efforts in our Agri-OpenCore project, funded by Innovate UK, and embedded in our Lincoln Centre for Autonomous Systems, which hosts more than 300 robotics software packages.
As a Junior Software Engineer, you'll support a team developing high-quality, reusable software components for agricultural robotics. This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of agri-robotics software, working with world-leading researchers and industry partners in the UK's largest Agri-Robotics Research Cluster.
You'll need:
* Graduate degree or HND (or equivalent experience) in a relevant field
* Software engineering experience, particularly in robotics
* Expertise in ROS2, containerisation, and CI/CD practices
* Experience with DevOps practices and infrastructure management
* Proven track record in delivering sustainable software solutions and working in a team
Based at our Riseholme Campus, you'll have access to exceptional facilities including robotics labs, GPU clusters, and a working farm for real-world testing. We offer a collaborative environment where innovation and personal development are strongly encouraged.
