Home Quality Assessor
Salary: £39,438 per annum
Location: Field-based
Hours: 37 per week, Monday - Friday
Do you have a sharp eye for detail, a solid understanding of building standards, and the drive to improve housing quality?
We’re looking for a Home Quality Assessor to play a vital role in assessing and improving the condition of homes and communal spaces - making a direct impact on residents comfort, safety, and satisfaction.
What you’ll be doing:
* Carrying out detailed property condition surveys and Housing Health & Safety Rating System (HHSRS) assessments.
* Producing clear, accurate condition reports with recommendations for improvements.
* Identifying and escalating any defects that breach statutory or regulatory requirements.
* Undertaking Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) assessments when required.
* Working closely with colleagues to ensure investment programmes target the homes that need it most.
* Ensuring all survey data is accurate, uploaded, and ready to inform decision making.
What you’ll bring:
* In-depth knowledge of building construction, regulations, and housing standards.
* Experience carrying out stock condition surveys and HHSRS assessments.
* The ability to analyse and interpret technical data to make informed recommendations.
* Strong communication skills and a customer focused approach.
* A relevant qualification such as HND in Building Surveying (or equivalent).
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use.
