About the Job
The Athlete Recruitment Officer will lead recruitment of student athletes into the High Performance Sport Programme, acting as the main point of contact for prospective athletes throughout their recruitment and onboarding process. The role works with high‑performance coaches, the marketing team and other stakeholders to align recruitment activity with programme needs and to support new athletes in the transition to academic and sporting life at UEL.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify, engage and attract talented athletes to UEL.
* Maintain relationships with coaching staff, schools and sporting organisations.
* Coordinate recruitment events, screening and assessments.
* Provide a high‑quality customer experience to all prospects.
* Support athletes through onboarding and support services.
Requirements
* Experience in recruiting or talent development in sport or education.
* Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
* Strong organisational and project‑management abilities.
* Knowledge of UK higher‑education and sporting frameworks is desirable.
