OPR’s client is a specialist carpentry and joinery subcontractor delivering high‑quality packages across new‑build residential schemes in London and the South of England. With a strong pipeline of work and continued growth, they are now seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor with trade‑package experience to join their commercial team.

The Role
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will support the senior commercial team across the full commercial lifecycle of carpentry and joinery packages, including:
Key Responsibilities
* Preparing cost estimates, budgets, quotations and BOQs for carpentry & joinery packages
* Managing day‑to‑day commercial and subcontract administration
* Procurement of materials, labour and specialist suppliers
* Identifying, pricing and submitting variations
* Preparing and submitting valuations, applications and final accounts
* Reviewing drawings/specifications and assisting in design development
* Assessing subcontractor bids, applications and payment notices
* Producing accurate CVRs, forecasts and cost reports
* Working closely with operations and site teams to ensure strong cost control
* Supporting tendering and pricing for new projects
* Acting as a key commercial point of contact for clients and suppliers
What We're Looking ForEssential
* Proven Quantity Surveying experience within carpentry/joinery, interiors, or residential trade packages
* Strong commercial and numerical skills
* Experience working for a subcontractor or specialist trade contractor
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple live projects
* Strong negotiation and communication skills
* Ability to read drawings and carry out accurate take‑offs
Desirable
* Experience in new‑build residential developments
* UK-based QS experience
* Strong IT skills (Excel, estimating/measurement tools)
* Ambition to progress into a fully self-sufficient QS role
