TheRole of the Football Media Executive
The Football Media Executive is part of ourFootball Communications team helping deliver First Team playersmedia work leading and managing specific opportunities.
Every Premier League club has obligations withrights holders. It is part of our strategy to go above and beyondto do more to assist those who provide us with coverage all overthe world. We also want to maintain access for nonrights holdersincluding newspapers magazines and international media.
The Football Media Executive will efficientlyand effectively deliver planned media sessions and createopportunities from scratch in line with the Clubs media strategy.They are comfortable dealing with TV presenters leading journalistsfrom around the world as well as Premier League footballers. Theyunderstand media trends and are able to identify opportunitiesparticularly in new media areas.
They willliaise with the Premier League and broadcast partners regardingcontractual obligations. They will also arrange opportunities fornonrights holders in line with the Clubs Media Strategy.
The Football Media Executive will have aknowledge of and the ability to deliver the Clubs Media Strategyensuring priority is given to rights holders. They will also knowthe football media landscape and make the most of all mediaopportunities.
They will assist with thelogistics of the media operation including matchday mediaaccreditation and ensuring access for media and personnel to allClub premises when needed. They will also assist with accreditationfor womens team B Team or Academy matches as needed especiallythose at the Gtech Community Stadium.
This rolewill initially act as maternity cover for our Football Media(Operations) Manager so there will be the chance to step up andlead in some operational areas.
MainAccountabilities
* Bepart of delivering the Premier Leagues contractual broadcastrequirements including assisting with the logistics of sessions andnoncontractual media work.
* Work First Teammatchdays home and away to deliver broadcast requirements.
* Brief players and staff ahead of interviewsand report back.
* Promote Club content to widermarket using Premier League relationships.
* Monitor breaking news stories and continuingnarratives surrounding the club.
* Maintainexisting relationships with the media and bring in new contacts toenable wider story telling.
* Work withcolleagues providing media support to B team academy and womenssides if needed.
* Assist with incoming ad hocmedia requests and filter to appropriate staff.
* Assisting and leading at times with the mediaaccreditation process for home matches ensuring the Clubscommitments are met.
* Be part of the matchdaymedia access operation leading when required.
* Liaise with clubs we are visiting to ensureBrentford FC staff have what they need to work at away matches.
* To ensure compliance with all MatchdaySafeguarding processes and the Clubs Safeguarding Policy andprocesses

PersonSpecification Essential PersonalCharacteristics
* Demonstrableexperience working in a communications environment or similar at aprofessional sports organisation ideally professional football.
* Media qualifications including media law ormultiple years of experience working in a press office environment.
* Ability to travel to and attend all home andaway games which often occur during evenings and weekends.
* Excellent organisational and planning skills.
* Understanding of themedia landscape particularly in England.
* Excellent written and spoken English languageskills.
* Ability to work in a fast pacedpressurised environment show initiative and decisiveness whenworking alone and as part of a team.
* Abilityto think creatively and to clearly communicate ideas and concepts.
* Confident in forging effective newrelationships with others.
