About the Role
As an Audit Assistant Manager, you'll play a key role in delivering high‑quality, transparent audits that clients and stakeholders can rely on. You'll work closely with Senior Managers, Directors and Partners, taking ownership of assignments, managing client relationships, and supporting the development of junior team members.
You'll be responsible for:
1. Acting as a key point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders
2. Managing the financial performance of your portfolio
3. Delivering assignments within agreed budgets and timescales
4. Ensuring audits are staffed appropriately and delivered to high quality standards
5. Identifying opportunities for additional billings and supporting business development activity
6. Coaching, developing and motivating junior colleagues
7. Supporting recruitment, resource planning and wider team initiatives
8. Acting as an ambassador for the firm at internal and external events
What You'll Bring
9. ACA/ICAS qualified (or overseas equivalent)
10. Experience supervising or managing audit teams within practice
11. Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS and auditing standards
12. Experience across systems/controls testing, substantive audit work and group audits
13. Strong communication skills and confidence working with senior stakeholders
14. A proactive, collaborative approach and the ability to manage your own workload
