 
        A highly deployable role, SO3 IO Operator is a primary IO planning officer, regularly situated in 1-3* HQs or deployed in command of a small specialist team on operations with partner forces. This individual is likely to be the primary IO planning officer in an operational HQ; therefore, they must maintain their deployability, complete multiple IO courses (JIAC, JIOPC and MILDEC) in addition to gaining experience on (largely) overseas exercises with UK, US and NATO Fmns. This individual must be confident, competent and adaptable. On the forefront of Information Warfare, this individual must be adept at military planning, able to adjust to a consistently changing environment, and willing to push IO forward within the British Army. R&Rs: 1. Develop and deliver tactical or operational plans that leverage Information Operations capabilities to deliver behavioural change effects in approved target audiences. 2. Utilise and integrate planning tools such as the combat estimate, tactical estimate and communications planning tools IAW local SOIs. 3. Leverage capability specialists to develop viable COAs that deliver the operational effect. 4. Ensure that tactical plans are congruent with higher OSW, SCAEF and HMG objectives. 5. Liaise with analysts to monitor progress of operations against desired objectives, adjusting plans in response to undesired target audience behaviours or to exploit success. 6. Liaise with intelligence support analysts to inform planning and decision-making. 7. Advise commanders on Information Operations capabilities. 8. Develop cross government, allied and partner networks.
