Role & Responsibilities
Raytheon UK’s Courseware and Media Development Capability (CMDC) is looking for Instructional Designers to support training development of our training materials.
Responsibilities
16. Produce engaging articulate storyline builds for our customer’s training courses in accordance with Courseware / Media production process, Development Manual and Style Guide.
17. Creation of courses exploiting effective asset management and workflow. Visualising and planning of content and media along a timeline.
18. Comply with Raytheon and Customer policies.
19. Carry out any other reasonable task such as assisting the other areas within Raytheon when required.
20. Employees are responsible for their own Health and Safety and that of work colleagues and customers.
21. The nature of Customer’s training requires a high degree of flexibility for all Raytheon staff; there may be a requirement for travel to other sites within the UK
22. Be responsible for championing and fostering a culture of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) compliance and continuous improvement.
23. Any other duties required to complete the CMDC Training Service.
Required experience
24. Design, develop, and implement training solutions within Articulate Storyline that enhance learner engagement.
25. Apply instructional design theories and adult learning principles to create high-quality learning experiences.
26. Ensure instructional materials align with best practices and internal quality standards.
27. Must be organised and work well both independently and in a fast-paced team environment.
28. Ability to comprehend/interpret technical and non-technical information and apply it to visual media and animations.
29. Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects in a deadline-oriented environment.
30. Ability to use MS Office (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint).
31. Ability to lead and motivate team members.
32. To effectively communicate with stakeholders outside of the CMDC team to gather technical information necessary for media requirements.
33. The successful candidate must be able to qualify for SC security clearance.
Desirable experience
34. Experience using Moodle or working with an LMS.
35. Previous experience of developing high-quality courses for digital learning & training.
36. Creation of animation sequences exploiting effective asset management and workflow.
37. Visualising and planning of content and media along a timeline.
38. Knowledge of Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT).
