Job Description
Assist in the daily preparation of food for a variety of meal plans at various establishments across East Ayrshire. This role supports the promotion, delivery, and integration of the Council’s key objectives, specifically relating to the Community Plan, Shared Commitments, Single Outcome Agreement, and Best Value.
Requirements
The duties involve Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants will need to become a PVG Scheme member for Regulated Work with these groups, or if already a member, undergo a PVG Scheme Record Update, before a formal offer of employment is made. PVG records are regularly updated, and any relevant disclosures will be discussed with the applicant prior to employment.

The Individual
This is a temporary, part-time, term-time position at Stewarton Academy, working 16 hours per week:
* Monday - Thursday: 11.15am - 2.30pm
* Friday: 11.30am - 2.30pm
The hourly rate is £12.96. The contract is until 24th May 2026.
