Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our innovative, integrated Neurodiversity team. We are keen to hear from professionals interested in supporting our new pathway model.
The Neurodiversity Pathway is a developing integrated pathway within CFHD. The Integrated Neurodiversity Team provides specialist assessment and time‑limited intervention for children and young people and their families where the presenting need relates to neurodevelopmental conditions such as Autism Spectrum Condition, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and Tics and Tourette Syndrome. This provides an opportunity to work in a team with a strong multidisciplinary ethos as well as collaborating with colleagues in other pathways and working in partnership with other agencies such as local paediatric teams and education providers.
Important Information Regarding Service Changes
We are currently entering into a formal consultation process to move all Children and Family Health Devon (CFHD) staff to a single provider. As part of this process, staff currently employed by Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust will transfer to Devon Partnership NHS Trust on 1 April 2026. Please note that this may result in some differences in recruitment documentation and processes during this transition period.
Responsibilities
* Conduct high‑quality, specialist assessments to better understand the needs of neurodivergent children and young people.
* Provide good quality evidence‑based interventions to children, young people and their families.
* Offer clinical supervision to the wider team when required, fostering a collaborative and supportive working environment.
* Provide guidance, advice, and training to colleagues, families, and partner agencies through consultative work. Promote a unified and cooperative approach to supporting neurodivergent individuals.
* Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of the latest research and best practices in the field of neurodiversity.
