Overview
Following the retirement of the current post holder, we have a rare opportunity to lead our Support Services at Lancaster Royal Grammar School as Director of Finance & Support Services. We seeks an excellent candidate with substantial experience in financial management who will have a significant role to play in the strategic leadership and direction of the school.
The successful candidate will have overall responsibility for all support functions in the school and for the school's associated charities, managing key support staff, a large financial budget and monitoring and reporting to Trustees. We are looking for someone who will promote innovation and improvement in all areas of our support services. The successful candidate will:
Responsibilities
* Be a qualified accountant and a current member of CIMA or any CCAB institute
* Be an excellent role model with the ability to inspire and motivate staff
* Be forward-thinking and energetic with the ability to drive change sensitively
* Have experience of working as part of a senior leadership team
* Have significant experience in managing and using financial accounting software, preferably Sage 200
Employment details
This is a full time role working term time only plus 3 additional weeks. The salary for this role will be paid on the Leadership scale, points 12 - 17 currently £67,898 - £76,772 per annum pro rata'd to take into account the term time working arrangements.
