About The Role
Location: Wombwell, Barnsley Hours: Part-time or full-time considered
We are looking to recruit a compassionate and dedicated support worker to support a gentleman living at Low Laithes, our adult residential service in Wombwell, Barnsley.
You will play a vital role in delivering person-centred care, supporting an individual to live a meaningful, fulfilling life tailored to his preferences, routines, and goals.
The gentleman you’ll be supporting is polite, with a warm sense of humour that shines through once trust is built. He enjoys being active outdoors, playing games, engaging with sensory activities, relaxing with DVDs, and sharing good-quality meals.
He benefits from a calm, predictable environment and values relationships with staff who understand him well and support him consistently.
What You’ll Be Doing:
1. Providing high-quality, person-centred support tailored to individual needs
2. Supporting a structured daily routine that promotes wellbeing and independence
3. Encouraging participation in outdoor and physical activities
4. Supporting communication using a calm, clear, and consistent approach
5. Enabling choice in a manageable and supportive way
6. Building a trusted, positive relationship with the individual and their family
About You

A full UK driving licence is ESSENTIAL
