About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Manager to join Pilgrim's Europe on a 12–18 month maternity cover contract.
Based at our Uxbridge office, this role will take ownership of a key retail customer within our frozen meals category, managing a focused portfolio of around 40 SKUs. You will be responsible for driving performance, building strong customer relationships and delivering profitable growth through effective commercial strategy, forecasting and cross-functional collaboration.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded individual who enjoys owning an account, analysing performance and identifying growth opportunities, while working closely with marketing, category, supply chain and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Take full commercial ownership of a defined customer account within the frozen meals category.
* Manage a portfolio of approximately 40 SKUs, ensuring strong performance and alignment with business objectives.
* Develop and implement customer joint business plans to drive profitable growth.
* Deliver accurate sales forecasting and proactively manage risks and opportunities.
* Monitor sales performance, margins and promotional effectiveness, providing insight and recommendations.
* Work closely with marketing, category, supply chain and operations teams to deliver strong customer plans.
* Identify new opportunities for growth, innovation or category expansion.
* Build strong relationships with key customer stakeholders and represent the customer internally across the business.
* Provide regular updates on account performance, risks and opportunities to senior commercial leadership.
About You
We're looking for a confident and proactive commercial professional who thrives in a fast-paced FMCG environment.
You will bring:
* Experience in a commercial or account management role within FMCG or food manufacturing
* Strong commercial acumen and analytical capability
* Experience managing retail customer relationships
* Strong Excel and data analysis skills
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* A full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel to customer meetings and manufacturing sites when required
