Job Description
We are working with a growing and dynamic marketing business in London who are looking to appoint a hands-on Assistant Accountant/ Bookkeeper to support the Finance Director and take ownership of the day-to-day finance function.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and can confidently manage transactional finance processes while producing accurate financial information.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing the day-to-day bookkeeping function
* Maintaining purchase and sales ledgers
* Bank reconciliations and cash management
* Posting journals, accruals and prepayments
* Producing management information and financial statements from Xero
* Supporting VAT returns and basic tax compliance processes
* Assisting with month-end close and reporting
* Liaising with internal stakeholders and external advisers where required
About You
* Previous experience in a Bookkeeper or similar finance role
* Strong working knowledge of Xero
* Confident managing transactional finance processes independently
* Experience producing financial reports / statements
* Knowledge of VAT and basic corporate tax processes desirable
* Proactive, organised and able to “get things done”
