We are looking for a Production Manager to work on a permanent basis for a large global manufacturing company based in St Helens. The role is working Monday to Friday - 6am - 2pm and 2pm - 10pm (no nights) Salary is c£40-42,000 per annum plus 25 days' holiday and bank holidays, company bonus, healthcare, pension etc. Key Responsibilities for the Production Manager/Team Leader: * Lead and manage production teams, including supervisors, team leaders, and operatives, to ensure the achievement of production targets and KPIs. * Plan, coordinate, and monitor workflow to meet customer demand, production schedules, and quality standards. * Ensure a safe working environment by promoting and enforcing health & safety policies, best practices, and compliance requirements. * Drive performance through effective communication, coaching, training, and development of team members. * Monitor and analyse production data to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, quality, waste reduction, and throughput. * Work closely with other departments such as Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, and Planning to ensure smooth and efficient operations. * Lead problem-solving activities and escalate issues promptly to minimise downtime and maintain customer service levels. * Support recruitment, onboarding, and performance management activities within the ...
