Hours: 15 hours per week over 7 days
Salary: £12.36 per hour + rewards & benefits

Sue Ryder is one of the largest charity retailers in the UK with over 400 shops. Every item sold funds our care and support services, including 2.7 million hours of expert medical, practical, bereavement and emotional support each year in our hospices, in people’s homes and in the community. We are committed to ensuring access to support for those approaching the end of life or living with grief.
Our shops range from boutiques and vintage stores to large-format outlets. As a member of the retail team, you’ll help inspire communities to provide more care for more people by innovating and collaborating on ways to reduce, reuse and recycle, while driving income to keep our care and support services running.
Responsibilities
* As Shop Supervisor, use your retail experience to drive business, push sales, and achieve targets.
* Lead a team to deliver excellent customer service to donors and customers.
* Work with the local community to generate donated stock to drive sales.
* Recruit, train & retain a volunteer team, who will look to you and the shop manager for leadership and guidance.
* Set high standards of merchandising and housekeeping, prioritising health and safety for you and your teams.
* Manage effective stock processes to keep the shop well merchandised with fresh, seasonal stock.
* Act as a brand ambassador for Sue Ryder, supporting in-store campaigns to promote the brand and national fundraising initiatives.
* Assist in managing the stock process through the EPOS operation.
Requirements
* Retail experience with commercial awareness to deliver sales.
* Positive attitude, good judgement, and ability to work with a large team of volunteers.
* Enjoy engaging with people, with a positive can-do attitude and a good understanding of financial and IT administration.
