Newstaff Employment Services is recruiting for a Service Engineer to join a successful agricultural dealership based at their Winchester depot.
Previous service engineering experience in the agricultural, commercial vehicle or construction industry is essential.
The Role:
1. Service and maintain machinery from a range of first class franchises including CLAAS and Horsch to the manufacturers specifications and to ensure machine reliability and safety.
2. Have a keen eye for detail, reporting machine defects and upselling the services provided by the company wherever possible.
3. Successfully diagnose and rectify electrical, hydraulic, powertrain and various other faults prior to initiating and completing a repair.
4. Operate diagnostic software via a laptop computer when required (training will be given).
5. Complete a detailed report of work completed along with supporting photographs and documenting all worked times.
Requirements:
1. Experience – knowledge and experience of a variety of machinery ideally in the agricultural, commercial vehicle or construction industry. Ideally, have a relevant qualification within the field of Land Based Engineering.
2. Ability to interact with customers and develop/build a relationship that ultimately delivers a positively satisfying experience.
3. Communication – Ability to deliver appropriate communication both internally and externally to allow planning and continued work to be effectively completed.
4. Must carry a full driving licence as well as have the ability to operate machinery on site for testing purposes.
Hours:
1. Monday – Thursday, 8am – 5pm and Friday, 8am – 4pm with 1 hour unpaid lunch break (basic 39 hour working week).
2. Overtime available (Mon – Sat time and a half, Sunday – double time, bank holiday Monday – double time & day in lieu).
3. You will be required to do some weekend working especially during our peak harvest season.
• Holiday entitlement – 24 days per year plus bank holidays

Salary: £25,000-£45,000 per year +Company Pension + On-site parking
