Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Retail Shop Assistant to join our Heathfield shop team. The successful candidate will ensure excellent customer service and a positive experience for every customer and donor.
Responsibilities include receiving, preparing, and sorting donations, with a focus on gift-aided items. You will support the shop's trading operations and help maximize revenue from shoppers.
This role requires flexibility, working 22.5 hours per week across a seven-day schedule, including weekends on a rota basis and some bank holidays. You should be able to adapt to changing workloads, manage your time effectively, and work alongside and support volunteers, including providing guidance and training.
Essential skills include previous experience in a customer-facing environment, good communication, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. The role involves moderate moving and handling, and applicants must be aged 18 or over for insurance reasons.
