Role Overview
This role is for a deputy manager in a well‑established EBD children’s home situated in Oadby. It offers the choice of working within a 3‑bed or 4‑bed setting, with a blend of administrative duties, shifts and sleep‑ins.
Responsibilities
* Support the Registered Manager in the day‑to‑day running of the home.
* Work a balanced rota of administrative duties, shifts and sleep‑ins.
* Help deliver high‑quality care to young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD).
* Lead shifts, supervise staff and support team development.
* Assist with care planning, safeguarding and risk assessments.
* Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and care standards.
* Promote a safe, structured and nurturing environment.
Qualifications
* Experience within children’s residential care.
* Strong understanding of EBD and safeguarding practices.
* Experience supervising or leading staff teams.
* Level3/4 in Children&Young People (or working towards).
* Confident leadership skills and ability to support operationally.
* Passion for improving outcomes for young people.
