Public Health Intelligence – Advanced Analyst (P1)
We are looking for an Advanced Analyst to support the Public Health team in delivering intelligence and analytical products for public health, health improvement, and health and wellbeing outcomes across Cambridgeshire.
Job Responsibilities
Reporting to the Public Health Intelligence Manager, the Advanced Public Health Analyst:
* Ensures high-quality intelligence and analysis underpin the delivery of public health outcomes.
* Supports the Public Health function to harness data, evidence and best practice to inform planning, monitoring, evaluation and decision making.
* Contributes to the delivery of public health intelligence and analytical products, including intelligence products, surveillance, service monitoring, needs assessments, performance reporting and ad‑hoc analyses.
* Analyzes and interprets population health data, service and wider determinants of health and equity data from a range of local and national sources.
* Works collaboratively with colleagues across Public Health, Policy, Performance and Intelligence and wider Council and partner organisations.
* Supports and leads analytical projects and programmes of work, contributing to synthesis of complex datasets, dashboard development and production of high‑quality insight.
* Presents findings in a clear and accessible way that responds to the purpose of the work and the needs of different audiences.
What Will You Be Doing?
The post holder will contribute to the delivery of public health intelligence and analytical products, including intelligence products, surveillance, service monitoring, needs assessments, performance reporting and ad hoc analyses, ensuring high standards of quality, methodology and information governance.
About You
We are looking for a candidate who is collaborative, skilled in epidemiology and analytical approaches, and capable of presenting findings accessibly to varied audiences. The role is a two‑year fixed‑term opportunity, with flexible and hybrid working options.
