Position Insights & Objectives
Due to an exciting phase of growth our client seek is looking for a dynamic sales professional to join the existing sales team. Reporting directly to the Sales Manager, this is a hybrid role that will involve lots of face to face customer interaction nationwide.
Initially, you will spend time at their manufacturing site in the North of England in order to take advantage of the extensive training and support on offer. This really will help you become well-versed in showcasing their portfolio of products.
Your responsibilities will include managing a mix of key account management and new business development, with an emphasis on nurturing existing relationships in a 70/30 split.
Your reach is not confined by geographical boundaries, as some customers have multiple sites. You will join the business engaging with a loyal and existing customer base – however there is ample room for growth and expansion, which is encouraged.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain new and existing accounts.
* Generate new business leads through your own research, identifying market trends.
* Be active and visible in the marketplace in order to showcase the organisations current profile and objectives within the sectors.
* Ensure excellent customer satisfaction via communication and delivery on their set goals.
* Lead negotiations and manage expectations with key accounts.
* Deliver timely reports, presentations, and feedback to the wider business.
Requirements and Background
* At least 3-5 years experience within a sales role, ideally within packaging or FMCG
* Demonstrated ability of developing existing accounts and identifying new business opportunities.
* Proven track record of securing new business opportunities from £100k.
* Organise and structure your diary in order to maximise your customer visits in a timely manner.
* Ability and desire to liaise with all departments within the organisation including Design, Technical and Production.
* Strong negotiating skills with the ability to identify buying signals and close sales.
* Knowledge and experience working within FMCG markets.
* Meticulous attention to detail with administrative tasks.
* Ability to make a favourable first time impression.
* Willingness to travel extensively to meet with customers and the wider business
Education, Compensation, & Location
* Must hold Full UK Driving Licence.
