Job Description:
Maintenance Planner to join a leading upper-tier COMAH Chemical Manufacturer based on one of their sites in the Cheshire area, on a permanent basis, for a salary up to £45,000 per annum. This competitive salary is supported by a fantastic benefits package that includes an employer pension contribution up to 11%, free on-site parking, company part-subsidised private healthcare, and a choice of an extra 5 days holiday or a 2% cash bonus. The Maintenance Planner will be site-based 5 days a week, working standard hours of 8:30 am - 4:15 pm, with work flexibility as needed.
The role involves owning and maintaining the CMMS system, updating job plans and PMs, planning non-breakdown activities, coordinating resources and materials, supervising vendors, developing shutdown plans, monitoring KPIs, and ensuring cost-efficient use of resources while driving continuous improvement and maintaining high performance standards.
Responsibilities include:
* Managing and maintaining the CMMS system, ensuring data accuracy and timely updates, including job plans and PMs.
* Collaborating with Engineering/Projects to update CMMS data for new projects and identify improvements.
* Planning non-breakdown activities, ensuring methods, materials, and resources are identified and coordinated.
* Working with Stores to secure spares and supervising external vendors for safe and efficient task completion.
* Developing and publishing schedules, including 2-week plans and shutdown plans.
* Monitoring KPIs, reporting performance standards, and identifying cost-saving opportunities with contractors and resources.
* Supporting critical spares identification, exercising autonomy, and assisting with additional tasks as required.
To be considered, candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in a similar role, be proactive team players, skilled in interfacing with external contractors and bridging teams, providing standards support to managers, and proficient in planning systems such as SAP and Microsoft Office. Qualifications such as ONC or NVQ Level 3 in a relevant trade are preferred.
