Clinical Deputy Manager - Liverpool Hours: 40 hours per week Pay Rate: £22.50 per hour Reports to: Registered Manager About the Role An established nursing and care home provider is seeking an experienced Clinical Deputy Manager to support the Registered Manager in delivering high-quality, person-centred care within a nursing and care home setting. This is a fully supernumerary role, with the expectation to cover clinical shifts when required and participate in an on-call rota. The successful candidate will provide strong clinical leadership, ensure regulatory compliance, and support the development and performance of the nursing and wider care team. Benefits Quarterly performance bonus NMC PIN paid Enhanced DBS covered Uniforms provided Employee Assistance Programme Recognition schemes (e.g. Employee of the Month, referral bonus) Access to discount schemes (e.g. Blue Light Card) Free refreshments on site Free on-site parking Company events and awards About You Registered Nurse with a valid NMC PIN Proven experience as a Deputy Manager within nursing and care home environments Strong working knowledge of CQC standards and regulatory frameworks Confident clinical leader with a compassionate, person-centred approach Experienced in care planning, risk assessments, and clinical documentation Sound knowledge of MCA, DoLS, and medicines management Key Responsibilities Support the Registered Manager in monitoring and improving standards of care and performance Lead, motivate, mentor, and support the nursing and wider care team Ensure residents’ physical, emotional, and social needs are met Develop, update, and review care plans in collaboration with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams Oversee medicines management in line with legal and professional requirements Maintain accurate, compliant clinical records in line with NMC guidelines and legislation Participate in shared on-call responsibilities and respond to emergencies as required Promote safeguarding and ensure resident welfare is protected at all times Liaise effectively with external healthcare professionals Act as a role model, mentor, and clinical resource for staff Professional Responsibilities Work in accordance with the NMC Code of Conduct Deliver nursing care in line with best practice, policies, and procedures Attend mandatory and additional training as required
