We are recruiting for a Qualified Quantity Surveyor to join an expanding business with offices in Yorkshire and the North East. This is a busy, hands-on role working alongside another QS.
Responsibilities:
* Conducting feasibility studies to determine project viability
* Preparing cost estimates, budgets, and detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQ)
* Managing the tender process, selecting contractors, and negotiating contracts
* Monitoring, controlling, and reporting on project costs to prevent budget overruns
* Valuing completed work and approving payments to subcontractors and suppliers
* Managing contractual risks, variations, and disputes
* Liaising with architects, engineers, and clients
* Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and building regulations
* Advising on sustainability, life cycle costs, and value management
