A rare opportunity has arisen for a Midweight Copywriter to join our in-house Content + Creative team, and play a vital role in shaping our bold, purposeful, audience-led content.
Asthma + Lung UK is the only charity in the UK fighting for everyone with a lung condition, aiming for a world where everyone can breathe with healthy lungs. We fund cutting-edge research, provide advice and support for the 12 million people who will get a lung condition during their lifetime, and campaign for clean air and better NHS diagnosis and treatment.
Your editorial skills, eye for a compelling story, and understanding of our audiences will help us grab attention, communicate the importance of our work, prompt action, and raise vital funds.
You’ll lead on our brand’s tone of voice, ensuring consistency across all written materials, and sharing best practices by helping other teams understand and use our tone of voice and style guides correctly. You’ll work on a range of creative projects, from developing key messaging for appeals to interviewing people we work with, supporting those living with lung conditions, or brainstorming ideas to promote events. Our team supports all areas of the organisation, and you’ll lead on copy development from brief to delivery.
You’ll have an exceptional ability to adapt and nuance copy for different audiences and content formats. Skilled in interviewing with sensitivity and authenticity, you will support the welfare of people sharing their stories with us. Your meticulous attention to detail and collaborative approach will help us develop and deliver bold, compelling copy that connects with our audiences.
As well as a competitive salary, you’ll enjoy benefits including 30 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), membership of a health cash plan, employee assistance programme, cycle-to-work scheme, interest-free annual season Travelcard loan, and pension scheme. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an organisation committed to transforming lung health.
