The Role TheTransport Planning Manager will be responsible for managing the transport planning team across the Lincoln and Nocton sites, ensuring that all transport activities run smoothly and efficiently. In this role, you will lead and support the team of coordinators, overseeing daily operations to make sure all responsibilities are carried out in line with production, despatch, and transport schedules. You will also take accountability for planning vehicle and driver resources across all three Branston sites, ensuring they are utilised in the most efficient and cost-effective way. What will you be doing? Lead, manage, and support the transport planning team to deliver on daily operational requirements. Oversee and coordinate vehicle and driver planning to ensure efficiency across all sites. Ensure transport schedules align with production and despatch timelines. Lead and manage transport activities for the department. Monitor performance and compliance to maintain high standards of service. Identify opportunities to improve processes and maximise efficiency within the transport function. Provide direction, motivation and support through management and leadership for the department. Attend departmental meetings as and when necessary. Utilse the Qargo and Transporeon systems to maximise driver and vehicle utilisation. What we want from you? Strong attention to detail Good understanding of the Microsoft suite including Excel Good knowledge of driver and vehicle legislation Previous experience of leading a team in a managerial role
