The Workday HCM Consultant will “bridge the gap” between the business and technical teams by solving complex problems. They will guide clients through the transformation, implementation, and operation phases of a Workday implementation. They must have a technical aptitude and be capable of configuring the system to meet the business and design requirements.
Responsibilities:
1. Become a Workday HCM product expert with knowledge of design, configuration, testing and implementation.
2. Leverage your expertise to recommend the best solution based on the client’s requirements, budget and timeframe; with the flexibility to adapt the scope as additional needs are identified.
3. Track issues and risks communicate status and escalate concerns applicable for all clients in their portfolio.
4. Guide the client through facilitated design sessions and configuration decisions based on best practices and an understanding of the client’s unique business requirements at all stages of the project.
5. Regularly engage and support the client through all phases of the project, ensuring a smooth transfer from legacy systems to the Workday HCM solution.
6. Perform multiple tasks under limited direction, while regularly keeping the client, the project team and the Engagement Manager abreast of changes or progress related to the project.
7. Display a hands-on expertise of the software, including loading client data, moving configuration from tenant to tenant, and configuring business processes and security.
8. Act as a mentor to fellow consultants and analysts, including providing support for shadow assignments.
9. Actively participate in update training and internal opportunities to share one’s skills and learnings with others within the organization.

Skills & Requirements:
11. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
12. 1+ years of Workday HCM functional implementation experience
13. Workday HCM certification highly desired
14. Experience gathering business requirements, designing and prototyping, testing, and implementing practical business solutions under multiple deadlines
15. Passion for exceptional customer service and collaboration.
16. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively manage customer expectations.
17. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint programs.
