Overview
The Laboratory Technician will be joining a collaborative and purpose-driven team focused on ensuring the safety and performance of medical devices. As a Laboratory Technician, you will carry out structured and exploratory testing on a range of products, contributing to the development and improvement of life-enhancing technologies. This role involves hands-on testing, accurate data recording, and active participation in the continuous improvement of laboratory processes and equipment.
Responsibilities
* Perform product testing in line with established procedures, protocols, and timelines
* Record test results clearly and accurately in both physical and digital formats
* Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure calibration is up to date
* Report any irregularities in test results or equipment performance promptly
* Support the development of new test methods and equipment
* Contribute to investigations, prototype evaluations, and exploratory testing
* Assist with laboratory upkeep and administrative tasks
* Provide input and support during internal and external audits
About You / Qualifications
* Degree in Biological or Engineering Sciences, or equivalent laboratory experience
* Comfortable interpreting technical documentation and following detailed procedures
* Skilled in using Microsoft Excel and Word for data entry and reporting
* Strong attention to detail and ability to work methodically
* Able to manage time effectively and remain focused during repetitive tasks
* Experience with data analysis and a good level of numeracy
Salary £26,800 - £45,600 GBP Annual
