Wholesale Lending Change Management Governance Manager
The Program Group Manager is accountable for managing complex, critical, and large professional disciplinary areas. Leads and directs a team of professionals and requires a comprehensive understanding of multiple areas within a function and their interactions to achieve objectives. Applies in-depth understanding of the business impact of technical contributions and possesses strong commercial awareness. Generally responsible for delivering a full range of services to one or more businesses or geographic regions. Excellent communication skills are required to negotiate internally, often at a senior level, with some external communication necessary. Accountable for the end results of an area, exercises control over resources, policy formulation, and planning. Primarily affects a sub-function and is involved in short- to medium-term planning of actions and resources for their area. Has full management responsibility of a team or multiple teams, including performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions, terminations, and budget approval.
Responsibilities:
* Supports planning, directing, and coordination of day-to-day activities of running a program or portfolio of programs.
* Manages multiple teams or a functional area depending on business size.
* Applies comprehensive understanding of concepts and procedures within their area and basic knowledge of other areas to resolve issues impacting beyond their area.
* Ensures creation and signoff of program plans, benefits management plan, stakeholder management plan, acceptance plan, and central program issue log.
* Ensures program plans meet business needs as outlined in the initiation documents.
* Identifies and involves all stakeholders in scope definition activities.
* Communicates program schedule and key milestones to stakeholders.
* Provides regular schedule status updates to stakeholders.
* Secures funding approval for the program.
* Ensures appropriate staffing across all areas of the program.
* Secures program commitment from resource allocators.
* Escalates program risks to the Program Director or Sponsor when necessary.
* Monitors vendor performance and takes corrective actions if needed.
* Maintains staffing levels to meet operational needs.
* Shares responsibility for budget, policy formulation, and planning.
* Evaluates subordinates' performance, recommending pay increases, promotions, or disciplinary actions.
* Assesses risks in business decisions, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, safeguarding the firm's reputation, and managing control issues transparently.
Qualifications:
* Strong negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
* Required Licensing/Registration: Series 7, Series 9, Series 10, Series 63, Series 65.
Education:
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, potentially a Master's degree.
