Payroll Assistant Edinburgh Part-Time Are you someone who takes pride in getting the details right? Do you enjoy helping people and making sure things run smoothly behind the scenes? We’re working with a well-respected professional services firm in Edinburgh that’s looking for a Payroll Assistant to join their friendly and supportive team. This is a place where your work will be valued — and where you’ll be encouraged to grow. What You’ll Be Doing You’ll be a key part of the payroll team, making sure clients’ payrolls are processed accurately and on time. You’ll work with a wide range of businesses — from small charities to growing companies — and no two days will be quite the same. Here’s a summary of what your day might include: Running weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payrolls from start to finish. Answering client queries with clarity and care. Making sure everything is compliant with HMRC and payroll legislation. Supporting year-end processes like P60s and P11Ds. Collaborating with colleagues across the business to deliver a great client experience. What We’re Looking For We’re not about ticking every box — we’re about finding the right person. That said, here’s what would help you thrive in this role: Experience processing payroll (especially in a bureau or multi-client setting). Confidence using payroll software like Sage, BrightPay, or similar. A love of detail and a knack for staying organised. A friendly, professional approach to working with clients and colleagues.
