An established and growing organisation is seeking an experienced Buyer to join its supply chain team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive procurement professional to take ownership of supplier relationships and play a key role in supporting business operations.
The Role
You will be responsible for managing the end-to-end purchasing process, ensuring the timely and cost-effective supply of materials and services. Working closely with internal teams, you will help drive efficiency, maintain supplier performance, and support overall operational success.
Key Responsibilities
Raise and manage purchase orders in line with business requirements
Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships
Monitor supplier performance and address any delivery or quality issues
Proactively expedite orders to ensure continuity of supply
Support cost reduction initiatives through negotiation and supplier benchmarking
Work cross-functionally to ensure effective coordination across departments
Ensure accurate data management within internal systems
What We're Looking For
Previous experience in a Buyer / Purchasing role
Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
Experience working with ERP or similar systems
Good organisational and problem-solving abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
