Senior QA Tester:
We’re looking for an experienced QA professional who will carry out testing on our games to ensure they meet our high-quality standard and that all our cLittle Peopled worlds behave as they should.
About the job
Your main responsibility as QA Tester will be to carry out thorough and accurate testing on our games to ensure their high quality and ensure all our cLittle Peopled and the worlds they inhabit behave properly. You will test on a variety of platforms including PC and desktop formats, as well as current and next-generation consoles. You will test on existing content and new projects, and perform destructive and exploratory testing while following detailed test plans to provide thorough coverage.
You9ll be responsible for:
* Working closely with the QA Lead to ensure workloads are completed within deadlines and leading in their absence if required.
* Carrying out test plans and structured testing.
* Conducting destructive and exploratory testing to identify issues and determine causality.
* Communicating with internal and external testing teams, both in the UK and abroad.
* Entering issues into our database with supporting evidence and detailed descriptions.
* Taking responsibility for issues from entry to resolution and responding to development team requests.
* Reporting critical issues, test results and task progress to the QA Lead.
* Collaborating with the studio to release high-quality content within deadlines.
Required knowledge, skills & experience:
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Some experience in a QA role, preferably in a development studio.
* Experience testing on PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch platforms and using related tools.
* Proficient time management and organisational skills; ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
* A proactive and inventive approach to destructive/unstructured testing.
* Experience executing test plans and targeted exploratory testing.
* Experience playing a variety of games, including Management/Simulation genres.
* A passion for video games and a desire to contribute to the creative process.
* Experience playing Two Point Hospital and Two Point Campus.
* Knowledge of the development process and involved disciplines.
* Experience using Jira and other project management software (Trello, Confluence, etc.).
* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
