About the Role We are seeking a visionary Associate Director or Technical Director to lead and grow our Carbon Management Consulting practice. This is a strategic leadership role for a seasoned expert passionate about decarbonisation and climate resilience. You will develop and deliver carbon strategies, guide clients through complex climate challenges and provide operational compliance support to clients across all of our sectors and global territories, You will have the opportunity to shape and grow a team of carbon and sustainability experts without constraints. Key Responsibilities •Lead Strategy Development: Design and implement carbon management strategies including net-zero pathways, science-based targets, and climate risk assessments. •Technical Excellence: Oversee GHG accounting (Scopes 1, 2, and 3), life cycle assessments (LCA), and carbon footprinting in line with GHG Protocol, ISO 14064, and SBTi. •Project Leadership: Manage end-to-end delivery of complex consulting projects, ensuring quality, timeliness, and client satisfaction. •Client Engagement: Serve as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, building long-term relationships and identifying new opportunities. •Team Development: Mentor and grow a team of consultants, fostering a collaborative and innovative culture. •Thought Leadership: Represent Ayesa at industry events, contribute to publications, and stay ahead of trends in carbon policy and technology. Key Requirements What We’re Looking For •Education: Advanced degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Sustainability, or related field. •Experience: 10 years in carbon management, climate consulting, or related technical field. •Expertise: Deep knowledge of carbon accounting, climate disclosure frameworks (e.g., TCFD, CDP), and decarbonization technologies. •Leadership: Proven ability to lead teams, manage complex projects, and drive business growth. •Communication: Strong interpersonal, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. Desirable Qualifications •Chartered Environmentalist, Chartered Engineer, or equivalent. •Experience with carbon offsetting, removals, and voluntary/international carbon markets. •Familiarity with digital tools for carbon data management and reporting.
