Childrens Registered Home Manager Newmarket Location: Newmarket Contract: Full Time, Permanent Closing Date: Saturday 30 August 2025 Salary: £45,000 £55,000 DOE £5,000 annual bonus Hours: 40 per week The Opportunity We have a rare opportunity for an experienced Childrens Registered Home Manager to join a newly established, multi-site Specialist Mental Health childrens residential home with educational provision. As a key leader within this service, youll play a vital role in shaping the delivery of care, leading a 5-bedded home for children aged 1218 who require specialist support due to mental health needs or significant risks of self-injurious behaviours. Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team including clinical professionals and teachers, youll ensure young people are supported to achieve their goals and transition successfully from care. What Youll Be Doing Managing a 5-bedded specialist childrens home. Developing and overseeing comprehensive care plans. Leading, motivating, and retaining a strong, committed team. Consulting with young people and promoting their voice in care. Maintaining high-quality standards in line with Ofsted regulations. Handling complaints, safeguarding issues, and child protection matters. Working collaboratively with parents, carers, and external professionals. Ensuring the home is managed effectively, both operationally and financially. What Were Looking For Passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people. Minimum 2 years experience in residential childcare, including 1 year in a supervisory role within the last 5 years. Level 3 Diploma in Childrens Residential Care (essential). Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (preferred, or willing to enrol within 6 months). Strong knowledge of childcare legislation, Ofsted Quality Standards, and safeguarding requirements. Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills. Full UK driving licence.
