Overview
The Charity Management, Fundraising & Marketing Professional will play a key role in shaping the charity’s foundations. You will work closely with the Founder and Trustees to ensure effective governance, compliance, fundraising, and visibility. Alongside designing fundraising strategies, you will provide marketing insight to build awareness, communicate impact, and engage supporters. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a new charity’s early growth and impact journey, while advancing an ethos rooted in systems thinking, sustainability, and long-term value creation.
Responsibilities
* Charity Management
* Support governance and compliance requirements for UK charity registration.
* Develop and implement policies, procedures, and reporting frameworks.
* Provide advice and support to the Board of Trustees on charity best practice.
* Design and deliver a fundraising strategy aligned to the charity’s mission.
* Identify and apply for relevant grants and funding opportunities.
* Build relationships with donors, sponsors, and partners.
* Create compelling proposals, donor communications, and campaigns.
* Marketing & Communications
* Provide marketing insight to support fundraising and awareness campaigns.
* Develop storytelling and content strategies to showcase impact.
* Manage digital channels (social media, newsletters, website updates) to build visibility.
* Support brand development and positioning of the charity.
* Contribute to shaping education-focused initiatives for disadvantaged youth globally.
* Embed the Four Capitals approach into programme design and delivery.
* Support monitoring, evaluation, and impact reporting as programmes develop.
Qualifications
* Proven track record in charity management and/or fundraising (min. 3 years).
* Strong knowledge of UK charity regulations and governance.
* Experience in grant writing and securing charitable funding.
* Marketing and communications expertise, ideally in the charity or social impact sector.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
* Ability to work independently in a start-up environment.
* Experience working with charities supporting youth, education, or international development.
* Familiarity with sustainability frameworks, particularly the Capitals Coalition ethos.
* A passion for social impact and empowering young people.
Contract & Fees
* Freelance, flexible hours (approx. 2–3 days per week to start).
* Fee: Competitive, dependent on experience.
* Initial 6-month contract with potential for renewal and growth as the charity develops.
