Data Manager, Band 5, part time 22.5 hours per week.
This post is fixed term/secondment for 12 months to meet the needs of the service.
Main duties of the job
The Data Manager will provide a focal point for information requests and data queries within the NET service. The post holder will ensure the clinical data source, collection, entry and transfer of information is of the highest standard, and will be expected to develop the databases and the systems and processes associated with them, as the needs of the service change.
The post holder will be expected to contribute to and monitor compliance against the JCC service specification. This post is therefore an integral part of the NET team and will report directly to the Service Manager and Lead NET Consultant.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Qualifications
* Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
* Recognised IT qualification e.g. ECDL.
Experience
* Relevant experience in a data collection/ analysis environment.
* Production of accurate, complex reports to strict deadlines.
* Experience within an information role.
* Ability for excellent team working with a variety of professionals.
* Knowledge of principles of general management.
* Experience in the NHS clinical or research sector to include NHS IT.
* Awareness of NETs.
Skills
* Experience in Microsoft Outlook, PMS, Oracle, Clinical Workstation, Clinical Portal.
* Verbal & written communication skills along with excellent organisational skills.
Special Knowledge
* Competent in the use of IM&T tools & techniques.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Operating systems & Office programs.
* Extensive knowledge & first hand experience of design & maintenance of complex database systems.
* Knowledge of GDPR.
* Understanding of GCP requirements.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
Salary: £32,557 to £39,631 a year per annum, pro rata.
