Job responsibilities
Understand and apply a holistic patient centred care approach, identifying and taking account of specialist clinical need whilst patient is in the theatre unit.
Always acts with regard for the privacy and dignity of the patient
Carry out patient care and procedures in accordance with agreed Trust policies and standards
Reflect on clinical practice in order to evaluate and maintain high standards of patient care
Maintain accurate patient records in accordance with the policy and guidelines
Work within the Trust's Scope of Professional Practice as defined by the Directorate
Ensure the delivery of care in accordance with the policies, procedures, guidelines and practices of Nottingham City Hospital NHS Trust
Comply with health and safety and infection control policies and ensure that staff, patients and visitors are appropriately informed and advised. Maintain a clean and safe environment
Report all accidents and untoward incidents as per Trust policy
Maintain personal and professional development in line with statutory requirements as well as knowledge and skills appropriate to the area of work.
Fully participate in the KSF & Theatre Personal Development Review process including the development of a personal profile and personal development plan

Qualifications
Essential
1. Current level one NMC registration or HCPC registration

2. Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.

3. Demonstrate an ability to assess, plan, deliver, prioritise and evaluate patient care. Ability to identify own learning needs. Demonstrate an understanding of the Theatre/Recovery role

4. Dexterity and accuracy in undertaking clinical skills, use of equipment and documentation Competent and capable of using medical equipment Able to undertake patient manual handling manoeuvres and non-patient manual handling manoeuvres
