About the Role The Configuration Technician will be delivering IT service solutions to hospitality and retail customers and continuously expanding the client base. We are looking for an experienced Technician with knowledge of bespoke IT deployments. What You’ll Do: * Configuration: Configure and test a wide range of IT hardware, including tablets, laptops, kiosks, tills, switches, routers and servers * Build Support: Act as the lead technician within build teams, ensuring quality and accurate reporting * Diagnostics: Carry out advanced troubleshooting and resolve technical faults * Optimisation: Implement build improvements, deploy solutions and maintain technical documentation * Communication: Liaise with internal project teams and customer points of contact to relay and resolve technical issues * Task Management: Manage personal workload in line with the schedule of works * Quality Assurance: Perform quality checks in accordance with departmental standards * Internal Support: Support internal network maintenance and cabinet management as required * Field Work: Undertake occasional on-site installations and EPOS setups; provide technical support through project secondments when needed What You’ll Bring: * Experience: 3 years in IT or EPOS, with broad exposure to networking, hardware, and software deployments * Qualifications: Degree in a computer-related field or equivalent (e.g. MCSA); CCNA and basic electronics knowledge desirable * Technical Skills: Proficient in configuring networks, servers, switches, patching, and comms cabinets; strong understanding of Windows desktop/server OS and Microsoft Office * Scripting & Virtualisation: Experience with VMware and scripting/programming in C#, Python, or HTML * Communication & Leadership: Clear, professional communicator with experience leading teams and resolving technical issues * Attention to Detail: Highly focused, self-motivated, and able to maintain accuracy during repetitive tasks * Hands-On Ability: Physically capable and experienced with the practical demands of IT and EPOS installations What we Offer: Bonus Scheme & Pension Contributions Cycle to Work Scheme – Plus seasonal health perks like free flu jabs and eye tests on us.
