Annual salary: up to £47,500.00 Project Manager Turkey Mill, Maidstone, Kent Salary up to £47,500 per annum plus commercial vehicle and fuel card Full time – Permanent, 40hrs per week, Monday to Friday Our Kent Facilities Management branch supports two major NHS Trusts in the Kent region. The branch is responsible for administering all activities related to delivering facilities management services across multiple buildings. Our purpose is to ensure these buildings are safe, compliant, and fully operational for their users. Some of our core repair and maintenance functions include – Gas, Electrical, Lifts, Water and General plumbing and building works. Our clients - Kent & Medway Partnership Trust (Mental Health Services) and Kent Community Health Foundation Trust - provide care across offices, secure units, clinics, dental surgeries, and inpatient/outpatient facilities throughout Kent. About the Role: As a Project Manager, you will oversee the delivery of capital works across NHS sites, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards. You'll lead on-site and office-based project activities, working closely with Mears colleagues, contractors, and client representatives to deliver exceptional outcomes. Key Responsibilities Lead day-to-day delivery of one or more capital works schemes, ensuring completion to client satisfaction. Create, monitor, and manage project workflows, schedules, and scopes of work. Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to align priorities and ensure delivery of NHS specifications. Manage risk assessments/method statements and patient care considerations - especially on mental health sites. Support with pricing and specification of works. Including working with our Bid team on new business opportunities. Ensure compliance with CDM, Health & Safety, RAMS, and Mears’ standard operating procedures. Build strong working relationships with clients, service users, and the community. Manage subcontractors and ensure performance, insurances, and accreditations are up to date. Attend client meetings, support business development activities, and assist other managers as required. Role Criteria: Project management across multiple sites and large-scale refurbishments. Strong Health & Safety knowledge (including CDM and COSHH). Experience managing subcontractors and staff performance. Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills. Strong commercial acumen and ability to manage budgets, KPIs, and client expectations. Proficient in Microsoft Office, digital reporting, and project scheduling tools. Proven track record in capital works/project delivery within a commercial setting. Small- and large-scale works. Full UK driving licence.
