Our globally renowned client has been established for 60 years and specialises in the design, manufacture and support of bespoke in vitro diagnostic solutions for supply throughout the world. They are seeking to recruit an experienced and self-motivated multi skilled Field Service Engineer to complement their professional team and provide high levels of technical customer service and satisfaction in the Installation, Service, Repair and Technical Support of a range of automated laboratory equipment for Clinical and Industrial markets in the Essex region of the UK.
Responsibilities will include Installation, Planned Preventative Service, Reactive Repair and Technical Support activities in customer-facing environments such as hospitals and laboratories, and with blue-chip FMCG clients. The role requires managing vehicle stock inventory efficiently, ensuring activities are completed on time and to a high level of accuracy with supporting documentation completed in accordance with engineering and service department requirements. Training will be provided in-house and there will be a requirement to attend external training courses to maintain knowledge levels and ensure customers receive the highest level of service and support. You will stay informed of industry developments to keep up to date with advancements in technology.
Responsibilities
 * Installation, Planned Preventative Service, Reactive Repair and Technical Support of automated laboratory equipment.
 * Work in various customer-facing environments, including hospitals and laboratories and with blue-chip FMCG clients.
 * Manage vehicle stock inventory within guidelines and complete documentation to engineering and service department standards.
 * Attend in-house and external training to gain/maintain knowledge and provide high levels of service.
 * Assist with project work as required to meet deadlines and provide on-call customer support as part of the Service Team rota.
 * Ensure compliance with all relevant company policies and applicable industry regulations (including Health and Safety) and SSOW on site.
Qualifications
 * Full UK driving licence.
 * Qualified to at least ONC level or above in a relevant Electrical / Electronic Engineering discipline.
 * 3 or more years of experience in a comparable service or maintenance environment (lab or medical equipment experience is advantageous).
 * Excellent communication and customer service skills at all levels.
Benefits and Location
Location: Essex and surrounding region. Salary: GBP40k basic + car + call out rota up to GBP7,500 + bonus + exceptional benefits package.
