Bus Mechanic / PCV Technician / PSV Engineer High Wycombe
Location:High Wycombe
Pay Rates:
* £24.50 per hour Monday to Friday
* £26.95 per hour Weekends (if worked)
Hours:4050 hours per week (contracted)
Shifts Available:
* 4-day fixed line:Sunday to Wednesday (flexible start times)
* 5-day shift:Monday to Friday (mainly early/day shifts, with late shift coverage 1 week in 6 until 10 PM)

Key Responsibilities
* Carry out routine inspections, servicing, and mechanical repairs on public service vehicles (buses and coaches)
* Diagnose faults on mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems using modern diagnostic equipment
* Record maintenance and repair activities accurately using electronic tablets and fleet management systems
* Interpret and follow technical manuals and manufacturer guidelines
* Work independently and as part of a team to ensure fleet reliability
* Follow all workshop health and safety protocols
* Support the wider maintenance team and undertake additional tasks as required
Candidate Requirements
* NVQ Level 2 or above in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent international qualification)
* Alternatively, 5+ years of relevant hands-on experience with PSV, PCV, HGV, or commercial vehicle maintenance
* Experience working in a public service or fleet maintenance environment preferred
* Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
* Proficiency with electronic systems and fleet software
* Reliable, safety-conscious, and capable of working independently

Shift Patterns
Option 1 4-Day Fixed Line:
* Sunday to Wednesday
* Flexible start times
* No late or weekend rotation beyond scheduled days
Option 2 5-Day (Mon-Fri):
* Predominantly early/day shifts
* Late shift coverage 1 week in every 6 (until 10 PM)
* No weekend requirement
40 to 50 hours per week, based on your availability.
