RSK Geosciences an RSK Group company are recruiting for an Environmental Consultant to join the team based in Derby, UK. This is a full-time, permanent position.
The Geosciences team delivers consultancy and design services to a wide range of external clients including engineers, house-builders, oil companies and local authorities. Responsibilities:
You will be and enthusiastic environmental professional capable of providing environmental advice regarding surface water management, environmental incidents on a wide range of active constructions sites primarily in the East Midlands.
* Production of environmental management plans including Pollution Prevention and Surface Water Management Plans for construction sites
* Auditing construction sites for compliance with Surface Water Management Plans
* Advising clients on meeting UK regulatory requirements including the preparation of permits applications and exemptions
* Liaison with regulators including the Environment Agency/ National Resources Wales
* Response / management of environmental incidents including, fuel/oil spillage, silt discharges, and effluent discharges
Qualifications and Experience:
* This role is suited to someone with between 5 and 10 years minimum experience in the environmental sector.
* Able to deliver projects and work within a multi-disciplinary consultancy
* Able to work closely and confidently with clients and regulators
* A track record in managing time and resources effectively and within budget
* Full UK driving licence
