Health and Safety Advisor – Construction
Location: Sizewell C, Leiston, Suffolk ( 5 days a week onsite )
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: £55,000 – £60,000 (dependent on experience) plus benefits
Benefits Include:

About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Health and Safety Advisor with a strong background in construction to support the safe and efficient delivery of key projects at Sizewell C.
You'll provide expert health and safety advice across a wide range of site operations including infrastructure, facilities management, logistics, waste, fuel, accommodation, catering, health, and security.
Working closely with Project Managers, Engineering Leads, and Tier 1 Contractors, you'll ensure compliance with all health and safety requirements, particularly under the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations (CDM).
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with construction leaders to embed safety into every phase of the project
* Provide expert guidance on legislative and site-specific safety standards
* Drive a proactive approach to risk mitigation in high-pressure environments
* Ensure compliance with CDM and all other relevant H&S Regulations across all contractors
* Promote health, safety, and wellbeing throughout all project stages
What You'll Bring
* Broad experience in Health & Safety standards within construction (including CDM Regulation experience)
* Recognised Health & Safety qualification – Level 6 Diploma or equivalent
* IOSH Membership and valid CSCS Card
* Proven track record in leading investigations and delivering safety improvements
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Passion for continuous improvement in health, safety, and wellbeing
* Organised and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Desirable
* Degree in Construction, NEBOSH Diploma. H&S NVQ/Diploma or Certificate in Environmental Studies, or a related field,
