We're a small family run business based in Stroud, which has been established for 36 years, recently there's been a change of management who are looking to update and refresh the food and drink offering, part of this is to offer a fresh and seasonal lunch menu. As a local independent bar we have a good flow of regular trade and have built up a solid customer base over the past 36 years. We love the hospitality and hosting side of our business and take great joy in giving our customers the best experience whether that's a quick pint or long family lunch. .

We're looking for a chef who can bring fresh ideas to our kitchen and daily lunch menu. The ideal candidate would be keen to regularly change our specials,alongside keeping our staples up to a good standard using local suppliers and cooking from fresh.
You would be with one other chef who's established a good kitchen routine making sure all paperwork and maintenance is kept up to date, the new role would be to bring ideas and knowledge to help train up our existing chef and extend the quality we currently have.
They would be required to work x5 days in a row sometime 4), we open x1 sunday per month for a roast and do x1 food evening per month.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen and ensure smooth workflow
- Create and develop menus that are innovative and appealing to customers
- Manage food production and maintain high quality standards
- Train and supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support
- Collaborate with the restaurant management team to plan and execute special events or promotions
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
