Do you have experience tutoring children with Special Educational Needs? Would you be interested in working as part of a collaborative team, providing the best access to education for our young vulnerable children?
Esland Grantham School is currently seeking a SEN Tutor who can deliver tutoring to small groups and on a 1-1 basis within the school and in surrounding children’s homes via outreach services.
You will be supporting vulnerable young children aged 8-18 years with SEMH and complex needs.
The role

Pupils can access qualifications such as Entry Level, Functional Skills, or GCSEs, depending on their current attainment and aspirations. They also have opportunities to work towards ASDAN qualifications or Unit Awards.

What we need from you:
* Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET), Level 3 Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS), or similar qualification
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or close to gaining it
* Proven experience in specialist education for young people with SEMH
* Experience working with challenging young people
* Knowledge of vocational pathways and subjects
* Experience in one-to-one or small group tutoring
* Passionate about inclusion and committed to student success
* Knowledge of results-based accountability in care and education settings
* Ability to plan, evaluate, and monitor learning progress
* Skill in differentiating instruction to promote inclusion and attainment
* Ability to build positive relationships with young people and colleagues
* Highly organized with good time management skills
* Resilience, stamina, flexibility, and excellent interpersonal skills
* A positive attitude towards hard work and challenging situations
* A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle
* A good sense of humour
