Behaviour Teaching Assistant

Hours: 8:30am – 3:00pm
Are you looking for a rewarding role where you can make a real difference? Teaching Personnel are seeking a motivated and compassionate individuals to work as a Teaching Assistant in a supportive secondary school environment in Monmouthshire. This role focuses on providing 1:1 support for a student with challenging behaviour, helping them succeed both in and out of the classroom.

Support roles (care work, youth work, mentoring, coaching)
Working with children or young people in any setting
Sports coaching, community work, or customer service

What You’ll Do:
Build positive relationships with pupils aged 11–16, offering guidance and emotional support.
Use sports and physical activities—football, rugby, basketball, tennis, gym sessions—to engage and motivate students.
Implement behaviour management strategies and encourage positive choices.
Monitor progress and collaborate with teachers, parents, and professionals.
What We’re Looking For:
Empathy, resilience, and excellent communication skills.
Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to apply).
EWC registration (or willingness to apply).
Ability to provide two recent references and right to work in the UK.
Safeguarding Level 2 (free training provided by Teaching Personnel).
Teaching Personnel will support you every step of the way with compliance and training.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
