About the role
The Futures Manufacturing Team are looking to appoint an experienced Team Leader within the Automotive sector.
This role is a full time permanent position based in Rotherham, working a day shift Monday to Friday
The vehicle integration cell leader reports into the Head of Repower and Special projects and will oversee the day to day running of the department to ensure efficient and timely delivery of systems to Client delivery dates.
The Cell Leader has the responsibility for safety, quality, and cost of the departments activities.

The Main Responsibilities include:-
To lead daily accountability meetings
Maintain a safe/clean working environment, enforcing safe systems of work (including correct PPE, appropriate use of tooling and equipment) and reporting any near misses and accidents.
To present at the weekly Planning Meeting
Prepare for daily production by checking resource, equipment, tools, part availability and consumables
Daily management of all documentation and liaison with appropriate departments

Lead the Vehicle Integration team against targets and ensure high levels of quality, maintain line-side/Kanban stock supplies, working with planning and stores to ensure vehicle kitting is completed in time for planned activities
Ensure Works Orders are completed and accurately reflect the tasks undertaken
Understand and demonstrate a broad knowledge of the vehicle build process, train, mentor and assist to achieve high quality in working practices;
Ensure all Certificates of Conformity and Build Record Cards accompany completed goods.
Drive continuous improvement and LEAN principles
Undertake tasks as directed by the Management Team to meet business needs.

Desired Skills and Experience:-
Experience of supervising and motivating a team.
Leading a team in an Automotive production and Testing environment.
Professional background in Mechanical / vehicle builds would be ideal

Quality focused with a keen eye for detail
Ability to act under pressure with calmness and clarity of thought.
You will be expected at times to work additional hours in support of meeting programme targets and maintain a flexible approach to working hours.
A good level of IT literacy (Sage, MS Excel etc. though training will be given).
